April 21 – World Creativity Day, Find Creative Ways to Show Compassion

April 21 is World Creativity and Innovation Day.  What creative and innovative ways can your child find to show compassion during this COVID19 isolation period? Brainstorm some fun ideas together. Maybe you can:

  • Make a card to send to someone
  • Help your mom, dad or sibling make a meal
  • Pick up and organize your room
  • Help your sibling with homework
  • Play games or put together puzzles with your siblings
  • Bake something yummy to share
  • Read a book and tell your parents what the best part was and why
  • Listen and dance to music with a family member
  • Paint a picture to hang on the wall or refrig
  • Take a in depth nature hike throughout your yard or neighborhood and share the experience or something new you saw with your family at dinner
  • Take something in nature that you found and make something with it using paints, glitter, markers, glue, or other fun material and display it for others to appreciate
  • Color in a coloring book and share your creation with someone who needs a burst of color
  • Make a yard/house scavenger hunt for your family. Create fun clues
  • Work in the yard – cleaning up and maybe planting something
  • Pick up and take out the garbage
  • Carefully empty the dishwasher without being asked
  • Compliment your mom, dad or sibling on something they have done for you
  • Build a fort to play in with things that are around the house and include your siblings
  • Exercise together
  • Do a simple and safe science experiment together

There are so many fun things to do. Comment here and share what amazing ideas you have!
